We’re planning your Alice in Wonderland or Mad Hatter Tea Party! In Part 1 we covered the invitations, envelopes, stamps and centerpieces, now in Part 2 I’ll show you how to continue to plan for a wonderfully mad time! Let’s now touch on favors, banners and signs! Your guests will remember your party for years to come!

Next idea was favors. What to do, what to do? I mean of course you immediately think teacups and saucers due to the fact that it’s a tea party. Easy, right? No! Each one I saw was about $8 each! I had a good amount of guests going and there was no way I could swing that, or ask my sister or mom to do that either. But I continued to look and didn’t give up hope.

I tried all the major cheaper retailers and then on Walmart I found these awesome mugs that stood on what looked like their own pedestal. It gave the feeling of like a cup and saucer. They were on clearance and BLUE! $3 each! They were David Tuterra brand, and I’m sorry David but I’m glad your mugs made it to clearance! It’s like they were waiting for me. A light shown down from the heavens and onto these mugs! I bought what was probably all they had left! I haven’t seen the same color since, but here are a few other variations of the same David Tutera Mugs on Amazon Here is another version of the same type of mug from The Pioneer Woman at Walmart.

I didn’t want to just give mugs, so I saw the idea of putting cupcakes in teacups or mugs. Yes! Definitely! My lucky sister was commissioned to help me bake a ton of cupcakes, put them in the mugs, pipe the frosting on, wrap them and tie bows on them. That’s what sisters are for, right? She also found pretty pink sugar flowers to put on top of each of them. So cute! I also found these little flags off a random google image search for “vintage Alice in wonderland”, so I can’t take credit for those but they looked super cute! You’ll also need lollipop sticks to put the flags around!

Wrap them up in cellophane and they are ready to go! The guests loved them, and they tell me all the time that those mugs are their favorite to drink their coffee from in the morning!

I also decided to do place settings for my shower. I was so blessed to have had a lot of people, and I figured it would just be easier to group them. I kept with the theme and made my own name cards with the Blue argyle background, and I added a top hat to go along with the Mad Hatter tea party.

I figured since I designed them I would add them to my Etsy shop. You never know when my fellow Disney admirers would be looking for a Mad Hatter place card for any type of event! I should mention that all of my items can be completely customized to your liking if they aren’t exactly what you are looking for. Just ask! I’m always glad to accommodate because it actually helps to expand my creativity. You can find the fully Customized Printable Table Place Cards Here

What’s next on the list? Ah, yes! A banner saying my beautiful boy’s name. I couldn’t even delegate this out to my family because since I designed the table cards, it had to match the theme. My pregnant self was makin’ it! I kept the blue argyle background again, added in the name and placed the vintage White Rabbit and Mad Hatter pictures at each end. Next was stringing it together to make it look cohesive.

Again, I added this to my Etsy shop! If anyone is interested, I will either make the whole sign for you, fully customized and ship it to you so you don’t have to worry about anything, or I’ll still customize and send you the digital file for you to print and string together yourself! Your choice!
